TVFLS Annual Dinner – 2026

This year’s annual dinner will be taking place on Friday 5th JUNE 2026 from 6.15pm to Midnight at Hilton Hotel, Drake Way, Reading, RG2 0GQ.

Our guest speaker is Her Honour Judge Vincent – our esteemed local DFJ and the Honourary President of our society.

We were all looking forward to hearing from The Honourable Mrs Justice Judd on our originally planned date, but due to the National Resolution Conference and the Bank Holiday Weekend the Society felt it necessary to move the date of the event back 2 weeks to ensure that as many people as possible from the Thames Valley Family Law world can come together to celebrate. We hope we can welcome Mrs Justice Judd next year instead! (Any tickets purchased for the previous date of 22nd May 2026 remain valid, any requests for refunds arising from the date change can be directed to our treasurer via kerry.haugh@mills-reeve.com)

*(As with all of our events the members receive a subsidy on the tickets that if members attend 2 or 3 of our regularly arranged 5 annual events then the membership pays for itself! Membership is open to all who work in Family Law within the Thames Valley and runs for 12 months from when the membership is paid)*

Useful Information

Dress code: Lounge Suits and Cocktail Dresses

Timings: Please aim to arrive for pre-dinner drinks from 6.15pm where you will also have an opportunity to take your team photos against our TVFLS Photo Wall and be entertained by an amazing roaming magician. We will be commencing dinner service at around 6.45pm.

Entertainment: In addition to the pre-dinner magic on offer in the bar area and whilst people are awaiting their starters we will have a disco to dance to and keep the party going until carriages at midnight!

Parking: Parking will be free on site for attendees, but you need to register your vehicle on arrival at the venue. If you do not register your vehicle or scan the QR code on the night you will be charged for parking and TVFLS cannot arrange a refund of this charge.

Drinks: We have a wide range of drinks available (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) from the private bar at the venue for our event.    

Seating: We try to satisfy people’s seating requirements where possible.  If you wish to sit with any particular firm, chambers or individuals, please note this on the seating request at the time of booking and we will do our best to accommodate the requests we receive. Please note, if no preference is indicated, we will endeavour to provide a mix of solicitors and barristers at each table but seating you with another member of your firm or chambers where possible.

Guests: You and your firm are welcome to invite guests to join you at the dinner who may not usually receive an invitation from the Society; this could include financial advisors, mortgage brokers, independent social workers, counsellors or divorce coaches you have worked with in the region. We would love to welcome the wider community of those who work in the Thames Valley within Family Law and celebrate with them on a no doubt well earned night off from the day job.  We would ask that any guests that attend are connected in some way to family law work and that they respect that the event is to network and socialise with others in the local Family Law network.
